The New Miss USA 2008!

Now I know not everybody follows beauty pageants anymore. I am of course implying that you guys who read the stuff here on www.itisplanb.com ever did follow beauty pageants. But this past Saturday a new beauty was crowned and as you can see she is a hottie!!!! I have heard great things about the women in Texas and this is a fine representation of these women.
The newly crowned beauty is named CRYSTLE STEWART and according to the press release, she embodies that rare combination of “Brains and Beauty”.
Ms. Stewart completed her degree in Consumer Science and Merchandising at the University of Houston. She founded and runs her business “Inside/Out” which aids young women in building self-esteem and volunteers with many organizations in the community. She won a silver medal in the relay at Jr. Olympics and is a fourth generation educator.
Miss Stewart looks like she has the potential to follow along in the footsteps of other beautiful Black Miss USA contestants. The most notable one being Halle Berry who was the runner up in 1986. However, Miss Stewart is not the first Black contestant to win the title. That honor belongs to Carole Gist who won the title and broke that barrier in 1990.
I look forward to seeing Miss Stewart representing the USA and I hope that she will be able to complete her duties in full.
