Pennsylvania Aftermath
By Plan B | April 23, 2008
Well Pennsylvania had their say in this great, historic Primary Election finally last night and despite being outspent by Obama by a 3 to 1 or possibly 4 to 1 ratio and being Broke. Hillary Clinton pulled out a 10 point victory.
If you are an Obama die hard you will discredit this win. However I think Obama missed a great opportunity to deliver what would have been a very crippling blow to Hillary. All he had to do was win yesterday and it would have totally dismantled the Clinton argument about Obama not able to win Big States and Battle ground states. He has yet to disprove this argument aside from his home state of Illinois where he is supposed to win. I mean if you can’t win your home state you usually lose. It happened to Al Gore in 2000.
The clear result of a Clinton victory is that this is going to go out all the way now. The DNC messed this primary season up big time! I don’t blame Hillary or Barack. To me blaming either one of them for this mess is being counter productive. They are Democrats, the Democrats set this thing up and it certainly isn’t via a democratic process. The DNC’s rules are curious, weird and stupid! The Republicans who had no real contender by virtue of an organized system were able to provide a presumptive nominee months in advance of the Democrats. The DNC has to get it’s act together and stop blaming the candidates or the superdelegates they have to do something about Florida and Michigan if they think they have a chance to win any of those states in the fall. I am really starting to understand why it is usually a Republican as the president and why Bill Clinton’s presidency of 8 years the first since FDR I believe is an exception to the presidential rule as opposed to the norm.
Come on DEMS let’s get this together by organization and leadership and not by pleas to candidates to quit. You are in charge FIX IT!
