The Pope rides in style.

The leader of the Catholic religion Pope Benedict XVI is visiting the great United States of America. For the first time in about 3 months we have something taking over the newscasts that doesn’t involve politics. The pope arrived here yesterday and was greeted by President Bush.
While he is here he is tending to his Pope duties and it just so happens to be his Birthday today. Crowds sang Happy Birthday to him at the airport yesterday and again today. Must be good to be the pope. In the pic above you can see he rides around in style in his custom Mercedes Benz. Ride and Wave Pope! Ride and wave!
I am not a Catholic, but I think it’s good to see some positive, non-depressing stuff dominating the news for a change. I hope he enjoys his stay.

what do they do with all the other “pope mobiles” from before?

WOw that is a good question. I read that he has more than one. I think they brought the “pope mobile” with him when he came. I can’t really understand why they would have different cars all over the world and he only visits some places many years apart.
