  • Pennsylvania Aftermath

    By Plan B | April 23, 2008

    Hillary and Barack

Well Pennsylvania had their say in this great, historic Primary Election finally last night and despite being outspent by Obama by a 3 to 1 or possibly 4 to 1 ratio and being Broke. Hillary Clinton pulled out a 10 point victory.

If you are an Obama die hard you will discredit this win. However I think Obama missed a great opportunity to deliver what would have been a very crippling blow to Hillary. All he had to do was win yesterday and it would have totally dismantled the Clinton argument about Obama not able to win Big States and Battle ground states. He has yet to disprove this argument aside from his home state of Illinois where he is supposed to win. I mean if you can’t win your home state you usually lose. It happened to Al Gore in 2000.

The clear result of a Clinton victory is that this is going to go out all the way now. The DNC messed this primary season up big time! I don’t blame Hillary or Barack. To me blaming either one of them for this mess is being counter productive. They are Democrats, the Democrats set this thing up and it certainly isn’t via a democratic process. The DNC’s rules are curious, weird and stupid! The Republicans who had no real contender by virtue of an organized system were able to provide a presumptive nominee months in advance of the Democrats. The DNC has to get it’s act together and stop blaming the candidates or the superdelegates they have to do something about Florida and Michigan if they think they have a chance to win any of those states in the fall. I am really starting to understand why it is usually a Republican as the president and why Bill Clinton’s presidency of 8 years the first since FDR I believe is an exception to the presidential rule as opposed to the norm.

Come on DEMS let’s get this together by organization and leadership and not by pleas to candidates to quit. You are in charge FIX IT!

Barack, Hillary & Bill on WWE RAW.

    By Plan B | April 22, 2008

In case you missed it , as we noted earlier Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were invited to settle their differences on WWE Monday Night RAW. This is footage of the pre-match gimmicks and it was very very funny. The Hillary character didn’t look like Hillary at all to me though. Bill Clinton sure did look like Bill however. The Obama character was close and had the funniest ears. The banter on the microphone was priceless. The Rock was my favorite wrestler and WWE Barack did a good impression. All in all with the serious tone of this years events it was a nice fun outlook at the campaigns.

    Barbie is soooo last year…

    By Plan B | April 21, 2008

Awww poor Mattel looks like they are having some problems with their Barbie Dolls. Yup those new kids on the block Bratz Dolls, have been putting pressure on Barbie and are the new Champions of Doll-dom. Now Mattel is trying to figure out “Why?”. I don’t think it’s that hard to figure out. Mattel was too slow with trying to appeal to the non-white audience with their Dolls. They left that segment open and unattended for way too long. Now I am not a Girl but I do know that when I have had to buy dolls as gifts I usually try and buy the doll that is of the same ethnicity of the person I am buying the doll for. Not saying I never bought a regular white Barbie doll for a black girl. But If I did it was usually to complete a set where they already had a Black version. From the start Bratz dolls have come in all flavors of the rainbow and are more representative of America the melting pot. They capitalized on the needs and desires of minorities and as such have reaped the reward. Go Bratz!

German Swim team can’t wear Speedos

    By Plan B | April 20, 2008

Now the second biggest story for this year after the US Presidential Election is of course the Olymipcs. WE here at Plan B love the Summer Olympics. We will start to report on Olympic themed stories here from time to time during our run up to the big events.

One of the earlier contraversy this year involves the use or non use of a innovative swimsuit by speedo which they reportedly had help from NASA in creating. Individuals have been breaking records all over after using these new swimsuits which have only been on the market for a couple of months. So what’s the problem? The problem is that the German swim team who is competitive in swimming events is not allowed to wear the suits. Seems that the German Swim team has a contract with Speedo’s competitor Addidas and Addidas doesn’t have a space age swim suit out to compete with Speedo’s.

Awww the controversy to shave two hundredths of a second off of your time is a big deal in timed events such as swimming. Fortunately the US team is able to wear the new suits. But this certainly sounds like the ground work for DRAMA at the games. Considering the reports of the unbelievably thick, hazardous smog in China, these suits may be needed just to compensate for the air the swimmers have to breathe

Sandra Bullock hit by suspected Drunk Driver

    By Plan B | April 19, 2008

We all know drinking and driving is a bad thing. But some folks just insist on trying to beat the system. You know “I can handle my liquor”.

This was not the type of “speed” that Sandra is used to however. Luckily she appears to be fine. But A car accident has got to shake you up!

At 11 p.m. last night the Hollywood couple were being driven to their hotel in Eastern Point when a gray Subaru station wagon jumped lanes on East Main Street and smashed into their front end, police said.

Jumped lanes?? Oh boy now that is DRUNK!!!

The ILL Naa Naa is free!

    By Plan B | April 19, 2008

Unless you have been under a rock, I am sure you were marking the day on your calenders. But Yesterday Foxy Brown was set free. She can now regain her place in society beating up chinese manicurists who don’t act right. Luckily her hearing was fixed before she went in jail so she was able to hear all the “real” ish in prison and should have great material to work with for her next Album.

I am kinda surprised there wasn’t a parade all the way back home to Brooklyn.

    Jay-Z, Beyonce marital “Bliss”

    By Plan B | April 18, 2008

    Photobucket

Yup, fresh off the bachelor/maiden circuit, Jay-Z and Beyonce are acting like a real married couple. They have yet to even admit that they are even married. But sure seem to be demonstrating the behavior of a married couple.

According to reports, Jay and Bey had what could be described as “furious bust-up” at a Hollywood Bowl event.

When the DJ at the show put on the song Jay apparently shouted: “Fu*k that. Sorry Bey but fu*k that- let’s play something else.”

Although the rapper appeared to be messing around, a source told The Mirror: “After he came off stage, she confronted him, demanding to know what the hell his comments had been about. She was gesturing wildly and not looking happy.”

Wow aint that something? Seems like just the other day it was all good. Maybe because they were only rumored to be a couple then. But now they are rumored to be married the whole game changes. Guys, I guess this is what they are talking about when they say once women get that ring they change on ya?

8 Year Old Yemeni Girl Granted Divorce!

    By Plan B | April 18, 2008

    Photobucket

Now just when you thought you heard it all, comes along a story like this. We know people and cultures can be different but this requires a true understanding of the culture to make sense. This seems outrageous to me. She got a divorce? What the hell was she doing married in the first place at 8 yrs old!!??! Come on!

What is even crazier is that the only reason this made the news is because the “Child” was granted the divorce because she went out to seek it on her own. She was only granted the divorce because she had not yet reached puberty and the man was having sex with her. So if she was an early bloomer then all would have been OK and the marriage would have been upheld? WTF?! This 30 yr old MAN was raping this 8 year old. Her father consented to the marriage!!! OMG! I tell people all the while just because someone is related to you doesn’t mean that they are looking out for your interests.
